Thanks to you we've made it into the final 4 for KQ’s Rock Stock Battle of the Bands! TCG now goes on to play at Medina Entertainment Center on Friday May 6th to battle it out with 3 other bands for KQRS 92 FM’s Rock Stock Battle of the bands. The winning band gets to open the show for Styx, Cheap Trick and Badfinger at Midway Stadium in St. Paul, MN on May 29th 2011. TCG was one of the final four bands picked by fan voting on KQRS’s web site back in April. Beating out many great bands to place in the top four. Now we need your "in person" support. Come on out to Medina Entertainment Center on May 6th and show some love for TCG. We promise to love ya back!

Want a ride to the show? Get on the party bus! BYOB and a Keg on the bus. Great tunes, great company and safe ride. $20.00 round trip and 5 bucks at the door. Pick ups at Cambridge Perkins 6:30 to 7:00 Vfw In Isanti 7:15 to 7:30 and Blainbrook at 8:00PM. The bus is called "THE PARTYING PENGUIN" A big blue Bus!!! It's been a while since my last newsletter, hope this email finds you doing well! This Friday February 25th, the Troy Castellano Group is doing a show at the Minnesota Music Cafe with our good friends GB Leighton. We've been having a ball doing shows with them over the past two months. Our music makes a perfect pairing with them for a show. Don't miss this one! Hell's Kitchen, Rockstarwannabe.tv, Rockin' 101 Band of the Month!

Oh man, what a snow storm last weekend huh? That storm put the kabash on our show in Cambridge last Saturday. We really missed what would have been a fun night and a great party for a good friend of mine's wife's b-day! Funny how something as innocent and beautiful as snow can shut everything down big time! Oh well, let's put that behind us now because we've got a great show coming up where it's guaranteed to be hot! I'm talking about Hell's Kitchen in Minneapolis! This Friday night, December 17th Troy Castellano Group is playing with our friends Dream Trigger (I think they changed their name to Pulse now but I'm not sure so we'll leave it at that). TCG's set is 10:30 pm - 12:00. Hoping to see many of my north side friends down for this one! It's real easy to get to and there is parking right next to the venue! Come on down a get hot with us! Next up this weekend, on Saturday December 18th Troy is doing a solo performance at the Suburban World Theatre for David K's www.Rockstarwannabe.tv. David is hosting a contest for local singer/songwriters and the winner will be featured on the January episode of Rockstarwannabe.tv. How cool is that? Troy Castellano Group & Bad Jack!

Hello Friends!

We've got a real fun show coming up Saturday December 11th. We are playing with our good friends Bad Jack at the American Legion in Cambridge. This show is going to be of the wall!! I believe this is the first time the Cambridge Legion has ever had an original band and we're proud to be the first! Come on out for this one! Both bands are going to raise the roof that night! TCG starts somewhere around 9pm. You better get there early to snag yourself a cold one and a table!

More cool news...the Troy Castellano Group is one five bands on the voting roster for the Minnesota Homegrown Music Show's January band of the month on St Cloud's Rockin' 101! For those of you who are new to this list and don't know, Troy Castellano is an award winning songwriter. He's back with a new band in support of their new CD Troy Castellano Group 2010. The new band includes: Gary Wright on guitar, CJ Stahlberg on bass and Lee Brandenburg on drums. 2 great shows, Acadia Cafe and FIne Line MPLS. Food drive and free stuff...

Upcoming show this week…first off we are playing an ALL AGES show Saturday night at the Acadia Cafe in Minneapolis. This is your chance to come out and see three great artists and bring those young music lovers out to experience a show in the Twin Cities. Next up we are playing a show at Minneapolis's own prestigious music club, the Fine Line Music Cafe on Monday November 15th. This show is especially important to us as TCG and the Back Water Ally band are doing a promotion/benefit for the local food shelf to help out the less fortunate as we near the holiday season. Please bring a non perishable food donation to pass along to those folks in need! It'll make you feel great about yourself while enjoy some great live music in a class A club.

I would love to see the support from my friends and fans from the north side come down for a show, you know who you are! Get your butt down for a great show! The best part about the Fine Line show is it's not a late nighter! We go on at 9:30 for an hour long set. That means you'd still be home an in bed before midnight! Hope everyone is enjoying the fall. It's been awesome up here in Minnesota so far this October! For those of you in the Twin Cities area we've got a cool show coming up this Monday at the Fine Line Music Cafe in Minneapolis! Want to go for FREE? TCG CD Release Party Saturday October 2nd at Hell's Kitchen MPLS!

Ah, the wait is almost over! October 2nd is going to be one hell of a Saturday night at Hell's Kitchen! Come on out for our album release party on Saturday night. We'll be playing songs from the new album plus a few older TCG songs as well as a few unreleased songs. We've got a great opening band, Steve Sullivan & The Factory opening the show. They kick out the folk blues rock with a jammin' 5 piece band. If you haven't been to Hell's Kitchen in Minneapolis, you've got to come on out and find out what the buzz is about. I also wanted to let you know that we've been getting some more press this month. Check out the Pioneer Press's music column this Friday. Ross Riahala is putting in a burb about our album release party. Thanks Ross!! Also, my old home town's newpaper, the Isanti County news ran an article about the band and some news about my work on Tommy Lee's new Methods of Mayhem album in this past Wednesday's edition! Troy's on Tommy Lee's new album & TCG CD release party!

Hello!

Got some cool news to share! The Tommy Lee album I've been talking about for the last year is finally out! It dropped Tuesday 09/21. I got a signed copy on Monday and ripped it open quicker than a child opening a present on Christmas morning! My guitar parts made it on to 3 songs, Drunk Uncle Pete, Blame, and Only One. Man, that was so cool to see my name on a major label world wide release and with a rock star legend like Tommy Lee no less! It doesn't get much better than that for guys like me! If you want to get a copy Target is carrying it and you can buy it online as well. Go out and get it, Methods of Mayhem, A Public Disservice Announcement. Next inline is news about our trip to play in Milwaukee to the IMMMS music summit. I'm not one to complain online but a lot of you asked "how did it go"? The only thing I can say is it was an unorganized fiasco! They cancelled our full band performance and changed it to an acoustic set at the very last minute, said they did not have PA available. WTF, a music summit without a PA? Needless to say me and CJ played acoustically anyway at a club call Tuttos in Milwaukee. We did meet a few movers and shakers in the biz and received some compliments so we'll take the best from the worst and work with what we've got. Also, something else that should be noted, it was mainly for Hip Hop and urban style acts. Oh, they did highlight us on their web site so we've got that going for us. LOL!

Finally, mark your calendars for our album release party for the new Troy Castellano Group "2010" CD. The party is Saturday October 2nd at Hell's Kitchen in downtown Minneapolis. We are headlining that night with Steve Sullivan & The Factory opening up the show. The music starts at 10:30. $5 cover gets you in the door for both bands! Also, HK has 5 star dinning so if you want a late dinner I highly recommend it!

Update in the Troy Castellano Group camp. The line up for the band is complete! We have added an excellent 2nd guitar player to round out the group's lineup. A big shout out and welcome goes out to Gary Wright. Gary's a seasoned vet on guitar and compliments our live sound perfectly. We are all excited to get this "show on the road"! Troy Castellano Group helps to raising money for LiveStrong Foundation

Got some great news to share…we are doing an acoustic show to help raise money for Lance Armstrong's cancer organization the Livestrong Foundation on Tuesday June 22 at Majestic Oaks Golf Club. They are hosting a golf tournament, dinner and entertainment to raise money for the foundation. The Troy Castellano Group is playing from 6-7 PM with another great Twin Cities artist Tim Mahoney playing after us from 7-8 PM. This event is open to the public so if you live in the Twin Cities area you can help raise money for a great cause. A $5 cover/donation gets you in to see two great acts. Just wanted to give an update... the Troy Castellano Group's new album 2010 is now available for purchase. Update on Tommy Lee's new Methods of Mayhem album. The release of the new album that I did some tracks on with Tommy has been pushed back until September 21. The original release date was to be July 13 but since Motley Crue is doing OzzFest in July and August the date has been pushed back so Tommy can be free to do press and promotion when it is released. It's been a long grueling wait but it will be worth it in my book! Can't wait for that baby to be released and go gold!!
